Our escorted 3-day tour across the Strait of Gibraltar will take you to the bustling city of Tangier, a real melting pot of cultures; Chefchaoen, known as the Blue Pearl; and Asilah, the city of light and art, the three most charming destinations in Northern Morocco.

2 Nights/3 Days

We will pick you up at your accommodation in Marbella and drive to the Port of Tarifa to journey across the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry. Upon arrival in the Port of Tangier, your local guide will meet you in a private chauffeured vehicle.

Start with a sightseeing tour in the modern city of Tangier. Drive through French, Belgian, Dutch, and Spanish neighbourhoods to the California district, where the wealthiest Moroccans and foreigners live in their fancy palaces.

Arrive at one of the focal points of Tangier, the Cape Spartel, the most North Western point of mainland Africa, and where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic seas meet. Travel back to medieval times as you visit the renowned Kasbah of Tangier, which reveals the city´s rich history.

After lunch, walk along the narrow alleyways to the vibrant Medina of Tangier with colourful boutiques, bazaars, and lively souks. Tangier is a fantastic shopping paradise. Visit the Grand Socco and the Petit Socco, where a sea of colours and alluring spices are a feast for the eyes.

After having breakfast in your Riad/Hotel, we will head to Asilah along the Atlantic Coastline. The Medina of Asilah is compact and surrounded by sturdy stone fortifications built by the Portuguese in the 15th century. Its white houses, ornamented with wrought iron railings and the colourful murals painted yearly by local artists during the “Moussem” (or International Cultural Festival) make it ideal for lovers of culture and photography.

Enjoy the relaxing ambience and quaintness of the town as you visit the most iconic gates, such as Bab Homar (“Earth Gate”), Bab el Bahar (“the Sea Gate”), next to the Portuguese tower that dominates the entire city and the Bab Kasbah (“the Fortress Gate”).

After lunch, we will continue our journey to Chefchaouen, a city located on the slopes of the Tisouka (2,050m) and Megou (1,616m) mountains, whose name in Berber means “Look at the Horns”, referring to the two ridges that dominate it. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, we will escort you to your Riad in the Medina.

After having breakfast in your Riad, you will visit “the Blue Village”. The mixture of unfamiliar voices and sounds will guide us through the winding streets until we reach Uta el-Hammam Square, where you can observe the comings and goings of the people and the beauty of the Great Mosque. We will continue visiting the Kasbah of Chefchaoen (built in the 17th century) and its gardens, as well as charming places such as Makhzen Square and the Ras el-Maa fountain, one of the most beautiful places in Chaouen.

In the afternoon, enjoy a walk through the Ras el-Ma, where women are still doing their laundry and the water mills are still working. This beautiful road will take us to the Rif Sebbanin, the neighbourhood of the washhouses, with the Sebbanin Square and its Mosque of the 15th century.

At the agreed time, we´ll return to Tangier. Your guide will escort you to the Port of Tangier to get the ferry back to Spain. Once in Spain, your private chauffeur will take you to your accommodation in Marbella.
