Although it is only been a popular tourist destination since the 1960s, Marbella is rich in history. Stroll along the city´s ancient walled enclosure in which the Old Town has been preserved virtually intact since the 16th century. Visit the nerve centre of this old town, the Plaza de Los Naranjos, built after the Christian conquest and a clear example of Castilian urbanism.

Our steps will take us to the area known as the historic widening with the Paseo de la Alameda, the botanical garden, and the Avenida del Mar, a landscaped avenue with fountains and a magnificent collection of ten sculptures by the Catalan artist Salvador Dalí, that connects the old town with the beach.

Drive between Marbella and Puerto Banus, a stretch of four kilometres known as the Milla de Oro (Golden Mille), where you will find some of the most luxurious residences in Marbella, such as the Palace of King Fahd, the homes of prestigious international celebrities or the most emblematic hotels in the city.
